Think Big 2022 is a conference showcasing all things immersive, innovative, and imaginative. It focuses on filmmaking, interactive technologies, music, and more. Its purpose is to catalyze and inspire creative individuals and foster collaboration with people from around the globe.

Think Big’s goal is to be the premier technology and arts showcase on the East Coast. With diverse types of exhibitions and content, it appeals to a massive audience. Hosted in the Research Triangle Park, it aims to attract visitors from across the globe.
Think Big 2022’s target market is aged 25-60+, any gender. College education or higher. Yearly income between 70-150k. Think Big 2022’s industry competitors include events like South by Southwest, the Tribeca Film Festival, Google I/O, and Red Hat Summit.
My goals and deliverables for this project were to create a logo, branding guidelines, and marketing assets to identify, promote, and enhance the event attendees’ experience.

During my initial research, I made mood boards featuring simple geometric shapes and bright colors. I created logo sketches based on my mood boards and research. I then chose four logo concepts and developed them further as roughs.

After developing roughs of four concepts, I narrowed it down to one final logo design. Using my preliminary research and final logo design, I created branding guidelines for Think Big 2022.

Next, I designed event marketing materials.
I decided my marketing strategy would be to use email and social media posts to push leads to an event landing page where they would become conversions by purchasing tickets to the event. With this in mind, I created an email layout, social media post, and landing page design for the event.

In addition to the marketing materials, I also created branded event assets. These included ID Badges / Event Passes, Banners, Photo Backdrops, an Event Schedule, and an Event Map.

At the end of the project, I learned valuable insight into branding an event for a targeted audience. Key takeaways included the importance of brand consistency and personality being expressed through marketing assets. As in-person events begin to return to our world post-COVID, I am excited to be a part of making them more beautiful, fun, and engaging for all.
